It’s been a while since our last news update and there has been a lot happening during that time. Following is a summary of some of the changes for Rogue Computing in addition to some of the major hardware release news.
Rogue Computing has relocated and is now based in Geraldine, South Canterbury. In addition, we now offer a range of service and repair options which we have added to our existing product line up. These are available to view in the customer service menu of the Rogue Computing website.
Intel 11th Gen Processors
Intel released their 11th Gen Processors designed for the Z590 chipset which brings PCI Express 4.0 technology to the Intel platform. Intel's 11th Gen as well as AMD's 5000 series processors are currently both great choices for a gaming CPU.
Intel's 10th Gen Processors are also still a great choice if you don't require or want PCI Express 4.0. The 10th Gen Core i9 line-up has a higher core and thread count than the 11th Gen equivalents and as a result can still outperform them in some situations.
GeForce RTX 30 Series Graphics Cards
Nvidia have released the 3080 Ti and 3070 Ti as additions to the RTX 30 Series Line up. The 3060, 3060 Ti and 3070 were also released earlier this year. Unfortunately, the graphics card supply shortages and inflated prices which started late last year have persisted and while the stock situation has improved slightly, in stock cards that are reasonably priced, from either AMD or Nvidia, are still difficult to find.
